1. Find the useful starting point
We look at the information and tools you already have, including an existing website or social page. We talk through the people you need to reach and the actions you would like them to take.
This helps identify the most useful first piece of work. It might be a complete website, a clearer structure, better joining information or help getting an existing site back into shape.
2. Agree the work
We set out the proposed pages, design work, setup, content responsibilities and handover. We also agree how you would like to work: a complete remote setup, guided assistance or a focused piece of advice or training.
You receive a clear scope and cost before the work begins, including the relevant ongoing arrangements.
3. Gather what matters
Bring your name, existing branding, useful photographs, practical details and any text you already use. We help organise the material and identify the gaps.
It is often easier to begin with a few accurate answers than a long history. The story can grow once the essentials are clear.
4. Design, review and refine
We prepare the agreed design and content for you to review. You check the facts, wording and presentation with the people responsible for them. We refine the work around that feedback before preparing the site for publication.
Remote working keeps the project accessible without requiring everyone to meet in the same room. Guided work gives your own people a practical role throughout the process.
5. Put it to use
Before launch, we walk through the agreed pages, links and contact routes. Handover covers the tasks your team will need to manage and the arrangements for the website and its address.
Then put the address where people will find it: your social profiles, printed notices, email signatures, programmes and conversations with related organisations.
6. Keep the information useful
Your group will change. People join, organisers move on and activities develop. Training and follow-on help are available so the website can continue to reflect what actually happens.
Common starting questions
We already have a social page. Do we need to abandon it?
No. Keep the channels that work for you. The website gives your essential public information a clear home and gives your social posts somewhere useful to lead.
Can the work be done remotely?
Yes. We can handle the setup remotely or guide your own people through it. Review and training can be arranged around that approach too.
Can we use a website or domain we already have?
Bring the details. We will look at what is already in place and explain the options for keeping, improving or replacing it as part of the project discussion.
Do we need to be a charity?
No. madegood works with clubs, associations, communities and other suitable organisations, including groups that are not registered charities.
Can we start with advice rather than a full site?
Yes. A review or focused consultation can give you a useful plan before you decide what to commission.
How much will it cost?
The cost follows the scope: what needs to be designed, prepared, set up and handed over. Tell us about your starting point and we will agree a proposal for the work.
